Finding out…

“It wouldn’t be so bad if we had a baby this year…” he said. January of 2013 rolled around and we started to feel more “settled” with where we were in life. A few months prior we had finally moved out of our tiny little newly-wed apartment and into a house. We were ok with […]

This was such a sweet story. Minus the struggles throughout the year, of course, but the sweet joy you both felt; I love that. 🙂

19 week update

It seems surreal that we are a 3 days shy of being half way to meeting our little miss! We had our big half-way ultrasound on Monday and I was shocked to see how much she’s grown in less than 4 weeks. It seemed like she doubled in size, and apparently she’ll double in size again in the […]

18 week update

How big is baby: The size of a sweet potato | 18 Weeks 5 days How I’m feeling: It’s been another great week. We traveled with some of our youth to a conference and didn’t get a whole lot of sleep over the weekend. That made me a little more tired than usual, but that’s not much to […]

Nursery Inspiration | Oceanic Elegance

I’m so excited to have finally dreamed up some inspiration for baby Blair’s nursery. Since neither Jonathan or I are very fond of pink hues, it was a little hard to think of something that would be suitable for a little baby girl’s room. We definitely don’t want to go overboard, but create a look […]

(I just went back and read your first post and had a comment to make, but figured it would be seen here more likely than there. Ahem. 😉

On book recommendations, I really can’t walk by without mentioning BabyWise. My mother has always sworn by it (and she had six babies), and while I’ve no experience there yet, I know several other women who have found it to be an excellent resource. I know there is some controversy surrounding it, or people are afraid to follow the methods, but from what I’ve experienced, it works.
Just thought I’d throw that out there – I hope it’s of some assistance to you during this beautiful new season, and blessings on you and your lovely little lady! 😉

Hello! I just stumbled across your blog through a friend of mine–love it! And I can’t not say, just really quickly, no matter how you decide to parent, please feed your baby whenever she is hungry. THAT is where the controversy lies within babywise. Every baby is different. Every baby’s metabolism is different. Every momma’s milk is different. Some babes need to eat more frequently than others, some just need the comfort of knowing momma is there throughout the night. Listen to your baby, you cannot spoil her by answering her cries, feeding on demand, and just plain old loving the heck out of her, I promise 😉 Congratulations!

Baby Blair on Board!

I’m so excited to be starting this little blog devoted to our little one coming this Summer. I’ve been thinking about it for a while because I’d love to be able to keep a record of this journey, without overwhelming my photography blog with baby things people may not want to read. I’m so excited […]

Hey Jennifer, I think the my favorite book while pregnant with my first was What to Expected while Expecting. They also have What to Expected the first year. I loved that book it help me alot with anything I needed to know about pregnancy. In both pregnancy I also liked to visit websites like babycenter.com and cafemom.com. Congrats by the way.

awww, I like this. I’m glad I caught you saying you have a baby blog, on twitter. I can’t wait to see your progress!

Maritza Tobon - January 23, 2014 - 1:12 am

This is such a beautiful and amazing journey. Once you hold that little babe in your arms you will never look at life the same. It’s like the world turns different colors. On the book topic, one of my favorites is a Girlfriends’ Guide to Pregnancy by Vicki Lovine. It’s humorous and informative, definitely check it out. Also, if you’re not familiar with Goodreads.com take a peek. It’s a little network of book lovers with helpful reviews – you will find lots of gems on there. 🙂 Happy reading!

I am excited that you decided to do a more personal blog again- I had missed it from reading the Blair Affairs a few years ago :).

Congratulations on your baby!
